In Which I Run A Marathon For The Very First Time

Those of you who haven't seen my other, far more boring blog are possibly unaware that I have been training to run a marathon. On Saturday, I actually ran said marathon. I bring it up here in a brazen attempt to solicit more recognition for this rather impressive feat.

Please feel free to read my write-up here, then review the rest of that blog if you're at all interested in my training saga.

Then, you should feel free to offer me any sort of congratulations or kudos that you deem appropriate. I feel no shame in pointing out how cool I am, and you shouldn't either.

Good job. I bet it feels pretty good to have done a marathon.

Who's the hunk on the right of you?

Or the hunk to the right of Scott?

Girls, don't fight. You're both hunks.

Cheeth,

The Tokyo Marathon is March 22nd. You can see for yourself how it feels.

It's raining men in here.

If anyone will come to run with me, in the manner of your manfest in Park City, I just might have to train for and run in the Tokyo Marathon.

If it didn't cost me a grand to fly over, I would.

I'm throwing down the gauntlet here. I am willing to train for and run the Tokyo Marathon in March if the rest of you guys will do it. Aaron, Shane, Scott, Cheeth, and me, and whoever else wants to do it. Who's in?

I'm in, except I just checked (http://www.tokyo42195.org/2009/entry_en.html), and apparently registration closed on September 22nd. If you can figure out a way around that, I'm in.

Alternatively, can't we have the Cheeth just talk to them in Japanese or something to make it happen?

Assuming that doesn't work, I'm in for 2010 if anyone else is willing to commit.

There are plenty of other marathon options, with much better organized races, in places that won't cost us a fortune to get there.

Aaron, I forgot to mention it, but I'm planning on running the PF Changs Arizona Rock n Roll Marathon on Jan 18th. It fits in perfect with my schedule. It's on a Sunday though.
